Hope this writing will ease me a little.

Kalau kita tutup aib orang, Allah akan tutup aib kita. Ya Allah, I've done so many wrongs that I am very much ahsamed of :( Please protect me and my family and my loved ones. Tie our hearts together with the string of Iman.

Lately, I get easily annoyed, much easier than before. And being merely human, I can't help but to show it on my face like an open book. I still get annoyed even if I know what contributes to that person's annoy-ness. Does this even makes sense? Sabar, sabar. And I need to learn not to show it so much, not to be a hypocrite, only because I don't want to hurt anyone. This is a friend at his/her worst and I have to cope with it.

Just think about how many people have patiently stood by me at my worst. I know because they eventually told me. They didn't just disappear and came back when the storm ends. What kind of friend is that? And I learned that it's not easy. But it's just something I have to do now, oh God.

Be patient. Do not bad mouth. No pulling faces and hurting other people's feelings. Just be that person who I would want to be with if I hit rock bottom.

Not so belated birthday post.

I drafted this on my birthday last month but I never got a chance to finish it. Anyway I'm just gonna rewrite everything.

This year's wasn't very festive I might say but it was special in some ways. It was definitely very special in my head, remembering all the nice birthdays I had in the past :) When mum got me my first make up (unexpectedly because she was always against me putting on make up at that time), when friends gotten me cake, when the people in the hallway sang to me (after a friend made an announcement), when my roommate threw me a surprise and most of all when we have family dinner on birthday nights.

I appreciate all the lovely things that I received but I wonder if I don't give enough. I know I don't. I'm getting older and there is just so much that one can do. I believe anyone can give, to the family, neighbors, community, the sick, the poor, the unlucky. The war victims, Muslims in other countries who are slaughtered, whose rights are taken from another human being without any mercy and humanism at all! There is so much that one can do.

And yet I'm afraid I keep wasting time. Wasting energy.

This was not my initial intention of a belated 'birthday' post. But there's just so much being said in my head at odd times with not many people around here to share with. I miss everyone.

Time is priceless and we can never get it back. I have done many wrongs to 'my time'. I haven't given it justice. We don't know how much time that are allocated to each of us. So while we are showered with the benefit of having the time to be with our loved ones, lets not forget to contribute to a cause much bigger than our own life.

Just a little something from my aunt and cousins :) Thank you for the thought.

Distance

Sometimes I wonder why I made the decisions I made and why I chose the path that I'm in. Distance had always broken me apart. I'm my parents "nak ikut!" ("I want to come along!") kind of daughter. Always did, always am, always will be. And yet, since I 'left' home when I was 16 for boarding school, distance kept lingering. I'll never get used to the distance. But I don't take it as a weakness.Be cause something good always comes out of distance. Something that you won't feel if you never left, if we never parted. The love becomes stronger, friendship seems more sacred, forgive becomes easier, sense of appreciation gets greater. The longing just to be with the people who touched your life is of course unbearable. But when you finally get to meet them in person, that's priceless.
