I'm not sure if any of my girls are still blogging now with instagram, twitter, facebook and what not. But I'd still post here that I'm excited for tomorrow's Bachelorette! No strippers or drinks but our own improved party. Haven't seen them in months and I appreciate all the effort very much; if only each of you knew how much :)

People
I'd like to believe that there are so many types of personalities out there that I have yet to meet. I've come to known several complicated people but driven in their own good ways. I've survived utter humiliation, extensive arguments and heart breaking treatments by others. I've learned that the deepest love can be conveyed in the most subtle way, almost unnoticeable. I bet everyone have their fair share of societal conflict.
And yet, we all have met and keep some friends that we can live without. The ones who knows the right thing to say or say nothing at all to help us through. The ones that we secretly learnt a great deal about life from. The ones that can accept our flaws and correct it without judging. The one that lets us give and also gave back. I know I have quite a few.
And so, when I stumble upon another complicated personality I take it as a challenge. To successfully make it through without a war, to understand without conflicting a wound to both parties. Maintain both kinds of relationship. Habluminallah and habluminannas.

MSO Family Day 2012
Kudos to the organizing team, it was wonderful and memorable indeed. Sukaneka brought out the best in everyone. Everyone was a team player and the event was a huge success in terms of joy and laughter. Wonderful silly games to the kids at heart! Food was indeed Ah-mazing! Who else have the best food other than Malaysians? Most people were obscenely full.
We reached at the height of the program during the Graduation Dinner. It was one teary occasion reminiscing the good and bad times, appreciating friendship, asking for forgiveness and forgiving and the unsaid love that lingered in the room. No words can describe what the hearts felt and we are all tied with an imaginary string that no one else could feel.
With that, I am grateful Ahlhamdulillah. My ticket is booked, boxes will be shipped soon and class will be done very soon. I'm erasing my physical traces here in MSU but I hope that my contribution (if any), my love and support will stay. Engineering Building, I will miss you.

Adila Alias
Happy birthday dear love.
It's a pleasure being friends with you after all this years. Can't believe that we are (has turned/will turn) all twenty-one this year. Thank you Allah for the life & blessings, and the friendship that last and hopefully, till forever. Adila, you have always been an inspiration, not only to me, but many of our fellow friends. Though we are miles apart, and the number of times that we met after we parted to boarding school at 16 can be counted by fingers (I believe less than 10 times), I know that the next time we meet, it will be like we've never been apart. I love you.

"It's a beautiful day today, don't you think?"
Good morning :)
I'm still appreciating the sun, which is outshining the coldness that was haunting the early May. My apartment is now not as ghostly and quiet with the addition of two girls (sadly, for a while). Summer classes had started, which means one step closer to home. Looking forward to home more than ever now.
About two weeks ago, drenched with self-disappointment, I dragged my feet out of the door for a long-planned New York road trip with 3 other amazing friends and all my sorrows were gradually forgotten.
The trip was shocking at first, with the tall buildings, busy streets, rude people, expensive food etc. (macam rusa masuk kampung) but as it went by, we had each other and great companion is what matters the most despite of being yelled at, getting lost multiple times, gotten onto the wrong subway, driving in the pouring rain at night and experiencing the ultimate sore feet. We visited the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Bodies The Exhibition Home, Central Park, Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, Circle Line Cruise, American Museum of Natural History, Rockefeller Tower, SoHo, Chinatown, Malaysian Restaurants and Stevens Institute of Technology in NJ.

The endless laughter, jokes and good food are what I will treasure in my memoir. Effortless friendship is just priceless and something that I do not wish to end. Yes, it was awesome indeed. We ended the trip a day earlier than planned only to visit The Great Lakes Crossing Outlets to shop out heart out. At least, I did.
Summer has come again, per say, and it's the season where people spend most of their times outdoor, appreciating the nikmat of daylight and sun that is given; sports, walks, picnics, you name it. And I'm about to attend my first picnic party of this summer today :) Alas, summer classes would be a little pain with endless readings, writings and lab reports. But things will (hopefully) work out just fine.
Let's get to work!

Memorabilia
Everytime she hears "Hey Soul Sister" by Train, her heart skips a beat. This was her spring break song a year ago. The song that she heard over and over on the train to West Lafayette. One homesick, eager and awkward young-pretend-to-be-adult on her way to meet the familiar faces; Her comfort zone. Although she doesn't belong there and had never been there in her life, it strangely felt like home. One week of carefree-ness, two best friends, a spring fling and a couple of old friends.
She didn't know it was her spring break song, until it was over.

Bittersweet
There's always a goodbye to every hello. It's in my right head now. Things won't be the same anymore. But a change will open another door to another opportunity. Everyone has their own rite of passage and this is it for them. I will definitely miss.

All we needed was an introduction
To learn the name and face. To acknowledge the presence in future. To start a proper conversation with a smile. To laugh in the middle of a busy street. To witness one's silent tears over coffee. To have another friend to share the world with.
How did it started? You won't even remember. You just feel.
"Oh, hello there?"

Me & Whoever You Are
We just met.
I'll be nice to you.
Be nice to me.
I'll be nice to you.
Be sulky for no reason.
I'll try to be nice to you.
Appreciate me.
I'll appreciate you.
Ignore me.
I'll smile and shut up.
Be cranky and not tell me why.
I'll try to understand.
Acknowledge me.
I'll acknowledge you more.
I'm being nice to you but,
you treat me like shit.
Well that's too bad then, F you.
But if you be nice again,
then I will be too.
And if I act otherwise,
remind me.
And if I act otherwise,
remind me.

Syukur
For a second just now it felt like home. The chaotic house filled with just enough children to turn on the volume. Having forbidden dinner on the couch in front of the TV. Purposely throwing food on the floor. Holding hands while grocery shopping. Endless shows on Nick. Having fish fish.
(At-Tirmidzi)
You gave me more than just iftar. Thank you, my dear friend & your family. May Allah bless you all.
If I have the money & time, I'd jump on the next plane home just to celebrate one day of Ramadhan with my family. Good night :'(

Last summer trip of the year.
Destination: Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes.
August 6,7,8 2010.
The places were spectacular, activities were awesome and most of all, the company was GREAT! Love love love them. I got to play in the water, soak in the hot tub, catch a couple ferry rides, did parasailing, spent a night in the car, experience the crazy life of drunk people (ergh), and was gobsmacked by the great creation of Allah SWT :)
Thank you to my lovers who made this all happened :) and for being very optimistic ;)
Hello Ramadhan, it's nice to see you again.

back to reality
Hello dear friends who care enough to read :)
I just got back from my summer trip with my wonderful friends. I went to Kalamazoo for Is's sister's wedding. Congrats Kak Tini & Abg Tajul. Thank you Is for everything and for inviting.
Then me, Aida, Qammy and Syaza drive back to Iowa City, their place. It was awesome and memorable. Thank you for the hospitality guys, I really appreciate it.
Later on Friday, me, Aida, Qammy, Han and Aqilah drive all the way to Chicago and spent 2 nights in Chicago at Dr. Roslan's house. Thank you to all the family members for the great hospitality and food.
I did tons of fun stuff that I don't know how to put into words. But pictures are coming up on facebook within this week I hope.
I'm grateful to get to know such nice people along the way, made a few new friends :) I'm so blessed to have such lovely friends, enough said, you know who you are.
I have to say that my feelings are so mixed up; I was just SO happy with them, but at the same time I MISS my friends who are far away SO much and I truly miss my family (I wish I'd taken more photos with them before)
So now, welcome to real life Syue. Sometimes life is not all about you. Celik mata besar-besar.

it's not loss
it's not gone
it's still there
it's just not visible
it'll always be there, always
friends, through laughter and tears
through good and bad
no goodbyes needed
only, we'll meet again
best of luck

Brother & Sister
I appreciate you. I don't know whether you know how much I love you, but how I wish you are my real brother. I've had 'pet sisters' & 'pet brothers' and those kinds of silly things before, but I didn't feel like this, I love you like my own sibling. I wish you the best in your future. Here, with you being the leader, everyone's a family. I can't stop thinking about the fact that this is prolly the last week that I'll get to see you, for how long only Allah knows.
I love you. From the first time that we talked, I just knew that we would 'click' really fast. You are one of the nicest human being I've met. I've never had a big sister and secretly, I think of you as one. You aren't scared to spread the love, to show love to everyone. I wanna be like that, I am brave show my love to my other siblings because of you. I miss you. I'll only get to see you for a few days when you get back later and before I leave town.
I never realized how much I love these two people that I've just met, I've just gotten to know, until the time is almost up. You'll never know what you got till it's (almost) gone. You learn to appreciate others when your family is away.
Don't be sad Syue. It's the way of life. There's a goodbye to every hellos. Till then, lets make the best of time. You'll get to see them back home later anyway. May Allah bless them both.
