Pantun 2 kerat

For all the tears that you saw me shed
For all the years that you kissed me to bed

Then came the day that we both disagree
All the pain in the world that you didn't want me to see

And now that we're half the world apart
Your tears fell first before I depart

The sound of your voice, the smile on your face
Is always what I need to go through this phase

But mum don't worry, the time will fly
If Allah permits, I'll be home in July

And dad, you make me smile for every little thing
Like the way you always wave goodbye on the screen

And when you hold, it makes me feel secure
Like there is no obstacle that I can't endure

As you already knew, I love you with all of my heart
Thank you for being for me there right from the start

Street lights & Congested roads

East Lansing is no doubt one of the most peaceful place I've ever lived in. It's so peaceful, it drives me crazy at times. I miss the busy street & the sense of day in night.

Salam Ramadhan

"O you who believe fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you can learn Taqwa" (Quran 2:183)
The Arabic word Taqwa is translated in many ways including God consciousness, God fearing, piety, and self restraining.

Alhamdulillah, we are given a chance once more to celebrate the joyous month of Ramadhan. This is my third Ramadhan being away from family (2 years of boarding school). But it's my first time being in another country. When I'm preparing for sahur, my family in Malaysia is about to buka puasa, while my dad is still fasting cos the sun is on top of his head. Funny. How I wish we all can just video call have our iftar together, but that ain't gonna happen.
Alhamdulillah again, I'm glad that I'm a part of the community here :) the best! May this Ramadhan will be better than the last one. Amin.

miss miss

One two step, and fall. Your first step was on your first birthday. Yep lil sis, the whole house was animated. Sigh. Sometimes I forgot that the rate of growth for toddlers increase very rapidly compared to others. I can see that clearly from the monthly trips of school to home that was my routine back when I was stuck on that island. I used to tell mum that maybe you've grown an inch taller every time I see you and she would just smile in agreement. And you used to have the impression that the airport was my school. So young and naive...
Damn, can't imagine how tall you'll be the next time I see you. imissyou.
