I was working on my exhibition materials for Malaysian Night regarding my country, Malaysia when I came across some disturbing articles and comments regarding my country and my religion.
First off, they're (people who obvious are not from Malaysia) making a huge deal about singers/bands who performed/will be performing in Malaysia who were asked to cover up their fake boobies and asses. The article also stated that the Malaysian Gov asked Fergie to wear a burka. Oh come on! Be serious people. Have they seen how Malaysian women dressed like? Regardless of any religion, yes, Malaysian women are more covered up compared to the west but, seriously, don't shit about the gov asking Fergie to wear burka.
Now, I'm not really pissed about the article, because the media is always decorating the actual news anyway but I'm super pissed with the comments. I'm guessing that they don't even know where Malaysia is actually. Idk, don't hate. Don't brag. Don't think you're so good and my country is so super oppressed! Urgh. Don't write 2 paragraphs of comments, criticizing my country based on an article which only has 20% of truth in it. Blah blah blah!
Secondly, don't, idk, I can't stop what people want to say. But seriously, don't simply be big mouth and say things about my religion. Don't hate Muslims. We believe in different things, so? You think you're so cool that you can make fun of Allah publicly on the website, a bunch of you? I'm so glad that none of the Muslims even bother to reply the sick comments. Yeah, I should ignore. But I'm pissed at the same time.
Okay, that's my rant for now. Sensitive issue, I know. Sorry. Not pointing fingers. Just giving my opinion. It's almost 10pm and I still have tons to do.
